Effective June 1st 2016, the lobby will close at 5pm and the drive thru will remain open until 5:30 on Fridays only.
**ATTENTION DEBIT CARD HOLDERS**
In order to protect you and the Credit Union
against suspected and/or potential debit card fraud, Abilene Federal Credit Union has
implemented some new debit card restrictions.
Effective March 8,2016 certain PIN or “debit” transactions will be approved for certain types of merchants, including but not limited to, home improvement stores, auto stores, grocery stores and department stores. Because of the different ways merchants are coded, you may still be able to complete a "credit" or signature based transaction at these types of merchants.
If you card is declined, please try it again as a PIN or "debit" transaction.

NEW FRAUD PREVENTION ALERT SERVICE: In our continuing efforts to keep your accounts secure, we’ve improved our alert system for potential fraud beginning June 8th, 2016.
When potential fraud is detected, you will receive an automatic email notification from AFCU. Please respond appropriately to the messages. If there is no response received from you within 6 minutes, you will receive automatic phone calls. Remember - our messages will never ask for your PIN or account number.
*The phone number the Fraud Center has changed to 1-800-417-4592. If you add this number to your phone contacts and label it “Fraud Center,” it will display whenever you receive a call from this number.
Receive your statements quicker by receiving them online and it's FREE! You will have multiple years of statements availalbe at your fingertips.
The advantages of E-Statements:
Your statement is received sooner than mailed statements and it’s more secure! Your statement with your personal and financial information won’t be sitting in your mailbox. It’s convenient and you can access your statement anytime you want. You can print your statement or store them on your computer. It also reduces paper consumption.
Accessing your E-Statements:
You will receive an email each time letting you know that your statement is ready for viewing. Once you received the email, log on to your account through STAR account access and click the “statement” icon. You can view, print or save your statement.
To start receiving E-Statements:
Just complete the STAR application and return it to the credit union. We will notify you once you are registered and you will begin receiving your statements online.
With increasing fraud it is recommended that you view your statements as soon as they are received, doing so helps detect fraud sooner. Monitoring your account activity more frequently through online account access helps detect the fraud even quicker. If you suspect fraud on your account notify us immediately. To report on your Visa debit or credit after hours, call 1-800-682-6075.
